STRIKING GOLD AT THE 2009 CREAM AWARDS

KLM is basking in a golden glow following the 2009 Cream Awards, which recognise advertising excellence across the Midlands, East, South West and Wales.

The results, declared live at the Jam House in Birmingham on 25th November, even bettered our performance at the Roses.

We picked up a coveted Gold Award for our Warwick Castle ‘Haunted’ poster in the ‘Best 48 Sheet’ category and then scampered off with a Silver in the ‘Best Unusual Size or Special Build’.

The poster features a portrait hanging in the Great Hall of the Castle, with eyes that ‘follow’ the movement of passers-by, thanks to the application of lenticular printing.

The effect was spookily apt for Warwick’s ‘Haunted Castle’ Halloween campaign and clearly, ahem, ‘caught the eye’ of a panel of top industry judges.

KLM Chairman Jon Derry was described by those who saw him as, ‘Chuffed to bits’. He said, “This is great news for the agency and I’m delighted that we’re starting to get the recognition our creative work deserves.”
